What's a pole class like at Spin & Flow?

A lot of students are super nervous to try a pole class—and we get that! It’s incredibly vulnerable to come into a new space full of strangers and try a class that is inviting you to be both strong and sexy. Many of us come in with all sorts of worries about our bodies, our abilities, and our fears of failure or rejection.
But the whole point of pole is to embrace ourselves for who we are and how we are showing up today—without doing anything to change ourselves first. At Spin & Flow, you are accepted exactly as you are today. Pole is all about allowing ourselves to feel strong and sexy in our bodies and to let go of negative self-talk and patriarchal judgments that have been pushed onto us for centuries.
That’s why at Spin & Flow we prioritise being a welcoming, safe space for our students. We want you to feel at ease so that you are more readily able to tap into that inner confidence and sensuality that we all have inside of us. Whether you're a natural extrovert, introvert, or somewhere in-between, you're welcome here.

Aside from getting stronger and learning how to embrace our sensuality, one of the best parts of pole is the community! Don't have any friends who want to try pole with you? Don't worry about it—you'll find friends here! Many of our students have made new friendships at Spin & Flow here in Ipswich. And if you prefer to keep to yourself, that's OK too! We always have each other's backs and cheer each other on, whether we know each other or not.

The best part about pole is being in a space that feels like our own. We are a queer, woman-led studio that accepts all women, femmes, gays, and theys with open arms. Straight, cis-gender males have plenty of their own spaces and power in this world. This one is for us.
